For those of you who have been wondering when we’d ever get some Nintendo DS ROMS up on the site, wonder no further. We’ve started putting up Nintendo DS ROMS, starting with those whose names start with “F”. Yes, this means that Final Fantasy games are included, as well as Fullmetal Alchemist for you fans of the anime series. Check it out in the links on the left side of the page.

>>1810 HRS<< : I don't know how many of you remember the old NES. It's first North American release was about twenty-four years ago; it's 8-bit graphical prowess and calculator-type processing power was hailed as state-of-the-art. "Nintendo's 'baaaad'", my fellow Filipino classmate said, mimicking an ebonics accent to the best of his ability. Unlike Atari, no longer did any of us had to pretend that a graphical single-colored square block was our character. It was the first home gaming system to bring a level of realism to the industry, showing pixellated characters made dimly in our image. Does anyone remember how much we paid for these games that were, at most, occupied only one or two megabytes of memory? The majority of these games were only about 256kB, and they cost anywhere from $29.99 to the gold Zelda cartridge of $39.99! Fast forward twenty-four years to 2010, and Velonica.com. Now you can have them all for free here. Yep, that's right. I spent some time loading up over 800 NES ROMS to the site, along with their respective emulators. Now you can get them all for free here!

Thanks to a member of Animesquish.org, I’ve been some links to PSX ISO’s, so I’ve put them up here. You can access them via the sidebar to the left. I hope to have more of these soon. If you have a request for any specific titles, please let me know by dropping me an email. I’ll have them up on the site ASAP. Email address is animesquish@gmail.com.

Update, 02-24-2010

I’ve started working on the Dreamcast ROMS, and because there are many of them, each one being close to or over 500 MB, I’ll work on the most popular ones first. After that, I’ll add the rest. If your favorite Dreamcast game is not on the list, please let us know, and we’ll add it ASAP. After comparing lists from ign.com, gamestop, and other’s opinions, here’s what I’ve compiled, in descending order:

  • 01). Phantasy Star Online
  • 02). Jet Grind Radio
  • 03). Shenmue
  • 04). Resident Evil: Code Veronica
  • 05). Virtua Tennis
  • 06). Quake III Arena
  • 07). Skies of Arcadia
  • 08). Soul Calibur
  • 09). Metropolis Street Racer
  • 10). NFL 2k1
  • 11). Sonic Adventure
  • 12). Sega GT
  • 13). NBA 2K1
  • 14). Grandia 2
  • 15). Unreal Tournament
  • 16). Crazy Taxi 2
  • 17). Dead or Alive 2
  • 18). Rayman 2: The Great Escape
  • 19). Chu Chu Rocket
  • 20). Marvel vs. Capcom 2
  • 21). Daytona USA
  • 22). Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (1 & 2)
  • 23). MDK2
  • 24). Test Drive LeMans

I ought to have these up in a few days or so. This should take me no more than two days. I’ll add the rest as I continue to develop this site and add content. There will also be Nintendo DS ROMS coming, as well as Turbografx-16, NES, and more.
